Nate Grondin is a film photographer living and working in Los Angeles.
My interest in photography began at a young age. With both my mother and grandfather working in photography, I was drawn to the magic of capturing a moment, and inspired by the stacks of National Geographic magazines scattered around my house. I was particularly interested in my mother’s film cameras, and started shooting on film as a young adult.
My appreciation for the natural environment originates from spending most of my early childhood in the woods of central Massachusetts and Maine. As I grew older I was drawn to the city through skateboarding, developing an interest in capturing urban scenes and the milieu of human interaction in city environments.
Currently, my photographic interests are centered around current events, portrait work, political and social movements, my day-to-day life in the city, and my weekend excursions to the wilderness.
